Like LICORICE

I have to admit, its an acquired taste licorice. I love it. the chewy rubbery texture and aniseed flavour is as dear to me as the way a good pair of levis fit just so perfectly.

Licorice allsorts have a fond place in my heart. I grew up sitting in the living room with my father and younger sister all chowing down on a packet of the sickly sweet blocks of delight.
My favourite were the blue and pink ones that were covered in little sugar ball things and they were gummy inside. When I think back I think these were the only ones in the whole pack that werent actually licorice.

Dad would always take the empty packet and tie it into a nice wee bow which i thought was the most AMAZING thing in the entire universe. I would be disappointed later in life to find this was not true.

Licorice allsorts are right up there with my all time favourite ice cream the eskimo pie. If you are not a kiwi you probably have no idea what I am talking about. I suggest you google it. Or better yet. I suggest you try one for yourself.

Browsing the stores on etsy I found my mouth watering as I embarked on a journey of sweetness overload.
