summertime

Ahhh summer rolled around so fast this year.

Now I've said it before, i'm saying it now and I'll undoubtedly say it again -
SORRY FOR BEING SUCH A SLACK BLOGGER LATELY.
What I am about to say is no excuse BUT - I am super busy right now.

Christmas is just around the corner so I have been frantically trying to think up gifts to give and food to create. The end of the year is creeping up on me and there are things that I feel need to be done before the 31st of December drifts on by.

Plus the summer sun means that the last thing I want to do is sit inside and blog when I could be outside dying of heat exhaustion...

Anyway I'm going to forget about what I haven't done with this blog and look forward to what I will be doing this festive season.

camping

swimming

bonfire-ing

and most importantly, laughing

Now I know most of you are in the throes of winter - what will you be doing this festive season? And if you are enjoying the heat like me what are your plans for the summer?

Before i go - I am expecting a very special guest to arrive at my doorstep sometime next week. She will be spending Christmas with me and I cannot wait. Once she arrives and we start having fun I'll be posting pictures so be sure to come back and see what we have been up too!

  1. I'm glad you're back!

I'm going to new plyms and auckland for christmas, then NYs with friends at Waitarere. Where are you spending yours?

It's my first new years for a very long time that's actually been organised beforehand, I'm more than a bit excited! I'm also looking forward to Christmas dinner with friends in the next couple of weeks (there might be turduken...), too many christmas parties and lots of beer and cider in the sunshine!

Oh and I know you already have a lot of candidates for Talk to Me Tuesday, but I'd like to do it sometime if you ever run out. :)

  2. now, i prefer cold to heat and i love to watch snow fall (hate driving in it, though!), but camping for Christmas sounds like just about the coolest thing!! I am jealous of that and can't wait to see pics.
my holiday season is always void of the 'family thing'...I have my aunt (only 4 years older), her hubby, my two baby (reaching their 30's!) sisters and their bfs and we are getting together for a good old fashioned cocktail party next week. then Christmas eve, hubby will join us at sisters house for 'christmas morning' themed eve dinner...breakfast for dinner while wearing our jammies...fun times!
and then, since hubby was raised jewish and neither of us are religious now, we will meet up with a friend Christmas day for a movie (tron in 3-D) and some chinese food. Plus i'll be working at the veterinary hospital to make sure the animals are not forgotten!

Hope you were serious when you asked what our plans were!! lol...
have fun, and i am eager to see beautiful New Zealand at Christmastime!!
