Twin Peaks

The day has arrived. Season 2 of Twin Peaks has been placed in my hot little hands. I love Lynch's beautiful dream like slash nightmare-ish film style. So creepy. Here are some beautiful images to inspire and get you in the mood. If you haven't seen this or any other Lynch films. I highly recommend you do.

Sponsoring Much Love Anna

The Little Monarch shop has been taking up a lot of my time these days so I thought why not sponsor a fellow blogger and get some more traffic through the store. After speaking to another wonderful etsian I decided on the wonderful Anna from Much Love.

It is so exciting! She made me a sweet little button to link my shop to her blog and I will be doing a giveaway later this month! So be sure to check that out.

I also have my eye on Maria from Lulu Letty for next months sponsor.

Here is a selection of button rings which are now up in the store.

Alice Gabb

It is always fun to find other crafters who enjoy similar things as myself. A few weeks ago at a craft fair there was another young lady, by the name of Alice Gabb, who also had a penchant for british regalia and reclaimed materials.

I fell in love with her stuff and hopefully one day (maybe soon) I will be able to make one of her pieces my own.

He is my favourite.

Another favourite of mine.

Alice is a fellow UK etsian and if you ever have time to burn on the internet why not go and check out her stuff. She is super cute. You can access her etsy store here.

oh and this is my 200th post! hurrah! I feel like I have passed a milestone.

Production Day

I am very proud of what I have achieved today. Ever since I lost my job in January I have been floating around not really doing much. The last two weeks have been especially bad and I have been retreating to old bad habits to help me pass the hours in the day. Not today.

i got up early and had a lovely cup of tea.

I posted new items on etsy.

Black and Rose Spades Hair Clip $12.09

Blue and White Heart Hair Clip $7.55

Whilst I was taking photos of my items I found this rather dandy mirror and couldn't resist playing around with it.

yep. idiot i admit it. But do you like my diy saddle shoes??

But most fun of all was going to this sweet little exhibition at The Barbican. Please watch this clip it is special.

It is Wednesday tomorrow already! My dad is coming over for a week from NZ via Texas. I haven't seen him in a whole year so it will be special.

what are you looking forward to this week??

Little Monarch at the fair

A couple of weekends ago I was involved in the first month of market days for 2010 run by the lovely Jessica Widdows from Of Cabbages and Kings. Although I didn't sell as much as I would have liked, I still had a wonderful weekend and it was great to see what other British crafters were doing too.

Unfortunately I forgot my camera so I didn't get any snaps but I did manage to take a few at the Ballad of Presents...The Village fete which I also attended. Again not as many customers as I would have liked, but I have to start somewhere right?!

I'll be posting the new heart hairclips and button rings onto etsy throughout the week so keep your eyes peeled. xo

Climbing out from the rock I've been under

Sorry. I went away for awhile. I don't have any real reason for going away, apart from the minor issue of not really feeling passionate about blogging. I think that has passed though as I am very excited to share with you some images inspired by village fetes! Tonight Ballad of Magazine is hosting a village fete to raise funds for Haiti. Little Monarch will be there with quirky regal inspired jewellery. If you are in London I do think you should pop by. There is going to be music, burlesque dancing, fortune tellers and cake!

oh i love a good village fete! Don't you??
